Cleve Oines was born in Sitka, Alaska. With an early interest in things artistic, Cleve began his career at the age of 13 by mass-producing and selling his work commercially to tourists arriving on cruise ships. During the summers he would work at the ports, manning his handmade vendor's table. During his school years he crammed in art classes and independent study art courses, expanding his knowledge of differing techniques and adding experience in new mediums. With a solid base in traditional art forms, Cleve entered the University of the Nations in Europe to expand his technical capabilities, studying digital communication and interactive media design. Upon completion of his studies, he returned to the United States and worked to put together a private web and print design studio. In January 2000, Creators Guild Studio was born. A web and print designer, Cleve also illustrates and hopes to expand his business to include commercial sculpture. Travel, study and employment have brought him to over 20 countries, and the diversity of his experience shows in his work.
